 issue of the  "Vancouver Island Boxing News":
"September 1964 marks the 20th. year since the Newcastle Boxing Club 
was formed by George Nepper when he obtained the use of basement of
the Newcastle Hotel in Nanaimo by Jim Clark."

ROGER NEPPER was the first boxer to compete

for the newly created Newcastle Boxing Club when he and others would see

action in a boxing card hosted by the Victoria's

London Boxing Club
